One week ago I watched one of two Ray Davies' Storyteller concerts in Salzburg (Austria) on Sat 24th July 1999. It was sold out with about 400 people. The venue was an old cinema now without chairs with a very intimate atmosphere. The audience was quite silent while the songs were going on, but very heartful in the response. Most of the people were about my age (39), but also some fans of the latest generation were their from all over Austria. I met a guy (24) whose first live experience started with the Phobia tour. Ray was in good mood, joking and fooling around and also often interacting with the audience.

Here's the setlist of the 2 hour concert: Lola/Celluloid Heroes/Victoria/20th Century Man/London/That Old Black Magic/Tired of Waiting for You/Alcohol/Set Me Free/See My Friends/Autumn Almanac/X-Ray/Dead End Street/Where Have All the Good Times Gone/Art School Babe/Back to the Front Room/I'm Not Like Everybody Else/A Well Respected Man/Dedicated Follower of Fashion/Ballad of Julie Finkle/YRGM-bluesy/YRGM
Encore: Waterloo Sunset
