Wow, that's a long title, I'll stick to GLKPSA from now on.   I'd just love to say how happy I am that my contribution made the disc and grateful to just be a small part of the whole thing. I think every artists contribution is a gem myself and everyone should be very proud of their efforts. Some of my personal favorites would be Ginny Dodds' Sunny Afternoon, Both The Survivors tunes Loony Balloon and Scattered, Superhype and Picture Book, Yurow with To the Bone and Both of Ayrtons adorable tracks, Never Met A Girl Like You Before and Hatred, Classic Classic stuff there, those two tunes put a smile on my face every time I listen to them. Some of the harder tracks such as Hardway and I'm not Like Everybody Else have a distortion sound that Dave Davies himself would be envious of. Not that it's a contest of course, but I think the track on the disc that is most reminiscent of the original is King Kong by Patrick Costello, if I wasn't paying close attention, I could easily be fooled by this one and actually think it was the Kinks. Kwirky is a work of art as well, this is a great disc. You guys really poured your heart and soul into this and it shows. You know how long it's been since I've heard 'Sitting In my Hotel', at least 10 yrs, I've always just loved that song. It happens to be one I don't have on disc, but now I do, thank you!   See My Friends loses none of the mesmerizing qualities of the Kinks version. In fact it may be even more mesmerizing, it's brilliant. I love the beatles reference at the end, again, just brilliant. It was suggested recently that if there is to be another tribute disc that it should be a Dave Tribute disc. I think this is a great idea! Put me down for Death of a Clown. Perhaps I'm getting a little carried away,  I imagine we should just enjoy these treasures for awhile before the recorders start up again ay? Take care all.........John Banta
